Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Morrowind and addons is the best one to play, a bit older, but the gameplay is totally better.

Best Buy, Target, shit like that... Wal-mart.
They will have an old GOTY in one of those places.
I know for a fact they have a huge mod community for these games, updated graphics will be probably be one of the many.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Elder Scrolls has to be the best game I've played , compared to Fallout it's a near second. Can't wait to see how much they improve on it.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I've been waiting for this since it was first rumored it'd be made.
...which is right after fallout came out.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
First off, they can improve it by not releasing a game that hadn't been beta tested.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Pretty sure Bethesda is working on an Elder Scrolls mmo, Interplay won their Fallout rights back or something and they're making Fallout Online.I do remember them working on an online MMO fallout though

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
maybe i sound a bit jaded but that trailer looks 99% like oblivion except for like the skeleton face. :/
it does beat replaying oblivion again though, so ill give it a shot.
They should focus on improving gameplay IMO, not graphics. Oblivion graphics on high looked pretty decent (land patches aside), and it used to be the benchmark pre-crysis. Like yeah, sure it could be a good upgrade, but i want some better combat/working stealth rather than new sightseeing tour.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Oblivion was pretty solid all around, but it didnt focus alot on improving gameplay(really the combat was supposed to be better or so they clamied), the stealth mechanics in Morrowwind were better and the combat very similar.Avatar wrote:maybe i sound a bit jaded but that trailer looks 99% like oblivion except for like the skeleton face. :/

I am hoping that they decide to make combat more of a focus this time, i.e; being able to attack from horseback.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Er, i meant to say that oblivion focused on graphics, not gameplay, maybe i didn't phrase it properly. I also got super bored of oblivion the moment i realized i could break the stealth system. (Get into mage's guild > enchante 5 items with 20% invis, become 100% invis all the time) but stealth only really seemed useful for that 'first blood', which i guess is okay but i would like to see some TF2esque stealth openers (aka instagibs).
Combat was pretty weird in oblivion. It was mostly sliding around spamming mouse1 and watching enemies do the same. The reward for getting in a hard overhand swing was pretty low and the risk was pretty high. I despise those fucking imps btw, just tossing this out there.
