Yes I was referring to the "per vagina" part.

I had to check a couple old pill bottles we have around the house, and our says "Take 1 pill once daily"

I wonder if that is a region thing. Like only in the mid-west US or whatever?

No its not a region thing, is a medical jargon thing. It's how a doctor would write or say it, but then on the prescription directions it's translated into plain words like "take 1 pill every day" or whatever. So I guess the mistake here could be that the pharmacy didn't put the directions in simpler language.

i see what you are saying now mala. having trained in the medical field, i would have expected it to be worded differently though. however i dont recall seeing any bottles ever say "take 2 pills per mouth" (usually just says "take 2 pills by mouth" which i suppose would look just as weird if it said "take 2 pills by vagina"). but from what you've said before, i'm sure you have more experience in the medical field and have probably come across this before.

Yeah, I know what you mean. IMO the best way to put it would be "insert 2 capsules into vagina" or something. You would be surprised how low some people's reading comprehension is, so its really important to make language as simple as possible. I don't think I've ever seen "per" used when talking to a patient, but nurses and doctors will say it to each other. That's why it took me a while to see that anything seemed wrong about the directions haha.

Anyways, now I've beat the picture to death. You guys should know better than to mention anything medical around me!
