I was wondering if any of you guys had any experience or any recommendations with any wireless digital picture frame. I was looking for one for my home to showcase some pictures my family has taken over several years.
The only essential feature that I would want on the product is the capability of connecting via WIFI and accessing a network folder with all of the pictures in it.
I did a little search and found some wireless capable devices (i.e. Kodak Pulse etc). The only problem I have with it, and most other products I found, was that you needed to connect the digital frame to the internet, make an account and upload your pictures to their web service and then the wifi digital frame goes to the internet and download them back down again (I find that a bit counter productive). The advantage is that you can link or sync a number of frames together to the same account to have the same pictures displayed everywhere. For me I would prefer to get the pictures directly from my network. I did looked carefully to see if I could setup the same digital picture frame to access a network drive but none have that capability.
Thanks for your input in advance!

Re: WIFI Digital Picture Frame
I did look up a few, but it seems that wifi digital frames have many different features for different manufacturers and models. I sometimes think it's a bit confusing b/c you have to read the fine print for what a particular wifi digital frame can and cannot do.
Thanks for the input, I will keep looking for the one I want

Re: WIFI Digital Picture Frame
I finally found a WIFI Digital Picture Frame that has the features that I want (mainly connecting to my media server where photos are stored). It's the Sony 7" 800x400 Digital Photo Frame.
I originally found it when I started the thread in January, but I found out that it was only available in the EU & some countries in Asia so I didn't bother mentioning it. However, recently I googled for other WIFI Digital picture frames and found that the one that I want is sold or distributed by Dell USA and Canada. Link to Dell Canada
It goes for 119$ Canadian, but there is a 10$ rebate for the Dell Earth Day Spotlight Sale and you can find a 15$ dell coupon rebate code if you google (or msg me) for it so you can save 25$ off the list price. The 10$ rebate is only good until Sunday, and the 15$ rebate is good until April 26th.
