You know I have just always preferred Tekken and MK to other fighters. MK has been down as a franchise, but Ultimate MK 3 is about a fighter and a half still to this day.

I like the new twist on Street Fighter its really pretty cool... but that Marvel VS Capcom kinda is just too over the top for me.

I have always been very tempted to pick up a bargain bin copy of SC IV or whatnot just to see whats there to love and because I like a good bargain :P. But for now its still Tekken 5 DR on the psp.

I am the master of the diagonals.

SC 4 was pretty good, but I think I liked SC 2 the best, but I'm not sure why.

Soul Calibur is way better than any Arcade Fighter imo. It never changed it's combo system where as MK went from those super speed combos from MK and MK2 on SNES to PS2's MK Armageddon where it's all 3D maps and the combos are sluggish. I think it's the same for Tekken although I haven't played since Tekken 3, I took a snap at Tekken 5 years ago and it felt weird. Street Fighter will always be a classic though.

Yo SC5, I’m really happy for you…I'ma let you finish. But Dead or Alive 2: Ultimate is one of the best Arcade Fighters of all time! One of the best Arcade Fighters of all time!

Ugh, SC. It is a fighter who's popularity I've just never understood. Give me a 2-d fighter any day of the week. Guilty Gear XX ftw.

Clay Fighters up in this bitch.
But for real, MK9 is too slow and has no diagonals (really limits what you can do), SSF4 is decent, SC series was decent, but MvC... too godly.
There's going to be a stream for Marvel vs Capcom 3 tonight with some of SoCal's best players (justin.tv/offcast I think. Remove the link if needed). MvC3 is definitely the most fun to watch out of any fighting game, due to the speed, the recognizable characters, and the fun community/commentators. I haven't watched any Tekken/SC streams, but MvC3 > SSF4 > watching rice cook > MK9.

Why did I post this? This is a soul calibur thread. I'm retarded.
