Dragon Age Ultimate Edition worth getting?

I need something other then a damn FPS on Xbox 360.

Have been interested in Dragon Age (plus all 9 DLC) though i didnt really like how much talking and npc crap was in Mass Effect 2...i hope this is different.

I enjoyed Dragon Age, but I thought mass effect 2 was way better. I do think it's worth a play, but if anything there is more talking in DA, so if that's a turn off, you may want to skip it.
You are encouraged to talk to all your party members in between quests and such for story reasons and game benefits, as opposed to ME where they just talk for flavor and occasionally give you a quest.
Also, the main character (you) can't talk, so you just sit there while everyone else does

I couldnt really get through Mass Effect due to all that npc dragging on with stupid stuff, Is ME2 the same? And dont you have to play ME to really get what ME2 is about?

I really enjoyed Dragon Age + all of the DLCs. I've played through them all more than twice.
