I said no. I can see limiting engineers to 5 so you don't get really lame stalemates. Spies and snipers so you don't get useless teammates. I don't see the reason for demo. They don't spam anymore than a heavy.

The heavy does less damage the further away you are. Also, he can't shoot bombs(with new, larger blast radius's) across the map and let them roll. A demo bomb does as much damage far away as it does up close.

The demo only has 4 shots, and the heavy has 200 in a clip.
If you are far away you can dodge the pipes rolling around...and they don't roll for very long. And for the blast radius...it's not that big.

3. I wasted my real vote on "What's a demo?"
"I never just did things just to do them. Come on, what am I gonna do? Just all of a sudden jump up and grind my feet on somebody's couch like it's something to do? Come on. I got a little more sense then that...Yeah, I remember grindin my feet on Eddie's couch." -RJ

this game is strategy >>> the more restrictions we put in the game the more we limit strategy

of course the cap would probably only apply to the reegular badwater server.

and theres not much strategy when comes to red team covering the whole map with stickies and camping waiting for one guy at a time.

I don't think an all demo team would work very well against a well balanced team. Even if it was the best "strategy" in the game, it completely sucks the fun out of everything. Might as well make a spin-off game, Demo Fortress and see how fast that game gets old.

I sometimes wonder why I even play the game any more, seeing as how the last time I actually had fun playing was when Magus wouldn't shut the fuck up. I end up just sitting around wondering how anyone in their right mind can even have fun playing demo the way they do, I really no longer even believe in an actual strategic way of playing Demoman. So much less annoyance would occur with a demo/engie cap. It's all just become point whores being point whores. And I could name the majority of them on the spot, THATS how much it bothers me.

If that video doesn't convince everyone and their elderly mother who knows nothing about computers that the demoman should be limited... well, then I certainly can't think of anything to convince you. And yes, you can dodge the grenades if you're far away and they're rolling around, but what if they're all around you? Dodge where? Look at that vid and tell me you could DODGE that many nades going off at once.

No.

When I play any class other then demo, my goal is to either:

A. Kill an enemy medic who has an Uber/Kritz ready to deploy

B. Kill an enemy medic/demo who has a kritz deployed
or
C. Kill spamming demo's.

Stop complaining and learn how to combat them. Become a better player, period. Don't ask for restrictions just because you can't adapt.
