It's time to think about doing highlander night again, maybe making it a monthly event.

This poll will only be up a few days so remind everyone to check forums that you want to play.

Some quick FAQ's *by Magus*

What the fuck is highlander?

Well, young grasshopper, Highlander is competitive Team Fortress 2 in a 9v9 setting where each team has only one player on every class.

Why the fuck would you use mumble?

You have much to learn! Mumble is widely used for it's lack of latency and voice clarity. In the competitive scene, ventrillo isn't utilized as much due it's latency issues. Mumble is also extreme easy to use when spliting/picking teams.

Now where the fuck am I supposed to get this bumble thing?

Don't fear! I'll provide you with links you lazy Rookie!

Great, I downloaded this random piece of software, and am completely ignorant as to how I am supposed to figure this damn humble out!

Big suprise: You downloaded something you didn't know how to use. Follow a couple easy steps and you'll have mumble working for YOU!

Step one: Install mumble. If you have issues with this, there's one easy solution: Throw your pc out the window. Then start over.

Step two: Launch mumble.

Step three: Set up your configuration before you join a server and deafen everyone with your breathing. Run the audio wizard located on the "Configure" tab. Now, most importantly:

Step four: Go to "configure" then select "settings". Now, on the bottom left, you'll see a box that says "Advanced". Select it. Now, make sure you have "Audio Input" selected. Look 1/3 of the way down and find "Trasmit". Click the drop down and select "Push to talk".

Step five: Select the "Shortcuts" tab in the settings interface. Now, click add. Set a key, then where it says "function", select "Push to talk"

Step six: Connect to the server! In this case, the server will be:

Servername: ATG
Address: 64.120.126.120
Port: 64921
Name: *Your name*

Now, when joining the server, input the password. In this case, it's partyinusa

Step seven: Now never fucking complain to Magus about mumble again.

Uhhhhhh
Oh Right, is Stickey Dimpkins allowed to be medic?
No, The end. Fuck you.

Newman needs warning this time to get the server set up w/ the needed config. Also, everyone needs to MAKE SURE they have mumble 1.2

Let's keep this thread clear of spam and unneeded comments b/c that was a major killer of the last thing. I'll be deleting old posts, and compiling any relevant info in the first post w/ Aaron.

Also, It would be great to have class slots filled PRIOR to playing. Based on our experience last time, having to find who wanted to play what classes what a nightmare.

So make an opening for 2 of each class until they are all full, then we will pick teams from their. Should be MUCH easier. And don't do this until everyone confirms a day. Otherwise you get idiots who say oh I'll play this *important class* and that slot is taken and they never show.

TL;DR: Figure out the day, then get everyone to pick classes. Teams will be picked that night.

Keep in mind I probably won't be making it this week (the time stinks for me-any other day, lol-next time), so I am in the alternate pile just in case I am around (not likely to be long enough) and a sub is needed. I just don't want to be put on a team and them find out I'm not gonna be there...

Thanks
