I just sold my XFX 6970's (just 2) on ebay. Now I'm goin with a single 7970 Ghz 6gb, what what! It's not here yet, but it will be by Wednesday. Super duper pumped.

I've been saying for >2 years I would sell my old 9800GT's...never did, and now they're probably not worth the bother, lol. Kudos to you for not being lazy like me

I sold them for $500, combined. I put them on ebay separately, but the same guy bought both of them. I also had a $20 rebate from when I built miniPre's new computer. Total cost from going from 6970's in crossfire to one 7970 Ghz edition with 6 gb ram, $60. Well that's not true, I offered them on ebay with free shipping, so I had to pay for that. OK, more like $80ish.

You might want to look into still MAttd. I just checked on ebay, 9800gt are going for a lil under $50 a piece. You could offer them with like $5 flat rate of shipping. $90 is a nice start for a new gpu. It's not $500 but it's better than waiting I think.

I've been getting updates on the occulus VR headset, and they seemed to like the razer hydra with it as a way of moving. Guys from steam/tf2 tested the occulus (or maybe they were just testing it with tf2 and not affiliated) and said they could see a room where you could move around in and use the hydra as a way of moving. You would look down and actually see something in your hand and feel it at the same time. Overall, the VR is getting closer, but still not ready IMO.

it would be awesome if it didnt have fuckin cords......
