Just got this today. This thing is sick if you like joysticks. This is a huge upgrade over my AV8R by Saitek. Normally $100 or so got off ebay for $60.
Cool Features:
Actual Stick:
- Adjustable height - means people with small hands like myself can actually reach all the buttons while having my hand rested on it.
- Double trigger( light taps on the trigger is trigger one, holding it in all the way trigger 2)
- Trigger for your pinky
- 3 led fire buttons with one located under a safe switch
- 1 thumb button next to the two HUD controls.
- 3 modes
- 3 toggle switches for 6 commands
Separate Throttle
- Additional POV located on the throttle
- Additional Multipurpose button on the throttle as well
- Two Rotary wheels with center button
- Mini stick located by the handle
- LED Display
Downsides:
- Short USB Cord
- Less Toggles than my previous one
- 1 Throttle instead of the option of 2
Been on the market for a few years, just thought I would share what I Thought about it.

Re: Saitek X52
Just did some flight simulator x with it.
Throttle was much more responsive than my previous joystick.
The stick itself seemed easier to control and recenter when needed.
Biggest difference I cant stress enough is the customization of the size for your hand. 2 hours of gameplay and my hands would feel like crap, but with this stick I didnt even notice any discomfort.

Re: Saitek X52
I always wanted to try the Saitek joysticks for FSX but was always afraid from the steep price. Sounds like a good investment I should make.
Just curious, what does the LED show? Any flight information or just the customization of your buttons? Thanks for letting us know how you liked the product goose

Shows you the Mode you have selected (3 modes), and what profile you are using.
Has a built in stop watch as well.
Also displays which trigger/button is being pressed.
I haven't checked to see if the LCD is customizable yet or not.
As for an investment, check ebay for new or unpackaged ones. Like I said I bought mine for $60 and they retail from $100+.

Actually in Beta it wasn't too bad.Stephen wrote:good luck getting in a jet
Seemed like Jets were easier to get in Beta than helicopters and tanks were in BC2.

Dont see why it would be too hard, someone takes off before you...stick C4 all over it and blow them sky high.goose wrote:Actually in Beta it wasn't too bad.Stephen wrote:good luck getting in a jet
