OK so basically my USB sound card stopped working. My laptop's plug-ins are ass, and my desktop has a lot of background noise from my mic, so I'd like an external/USB one. I'm going to be making an order from NCIX, so I'd like one from there. Which ones would you all recommend?

I had a Steelseries Siberia one to match my headset, but it broke (Windows says it doesn't recognize it, tried it with several cables). Keep in mind, I don't have that much money to spend, but pricematching is an option,

What model/type laptop do you have? If you have one of those PCI slots or whatever they are called (I'm a desktop dude, I hate laptops don't blame me that I don't know what they are called) my brother has a sound card he no longer uses. I would be willing to see if he would give it up.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T61. Thanks for the generous offer, Computah, but I'd rather get a USB one. My friends and I LAN every now and then, and it's really convenient to just be able to switch from computer to computer in under a minute.
