I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials for a while now. It seems to work fine, it certainly doesn't hog my system the way McAfee does (used to get it free from school for the AntiVirus part...). I've seen a lot of great reviews about it.

EDIT: Mullet linked it already. Well +1 vote then.

MBAM, Glary Utilities, Avast-Free. Hijack This is also a nice freebie too. Trojan Remover free trial for pesky trojans. You can reset the free trial with regedit if you need it again later.

That and use someone else's computer for porn, you should be virus free :D.

Yeah, the new Microsoft Essentials is your best bet. MalwareBytes isn't freeware, LoD, there is a trial period.

It's a trial if you download the Pro version, but unlimited if you get the free version
