pure distilled water works to.

not worth doing though to much of a mess.

you can actually dishwasher your keyboard and crap with non heat cycle and let it completly dry.

I read somewhere that some CPU fans don't stop so the PC doesn't shut down and hard drives have holes in them or something? So, the oil could damage the hardware. I think I saw a video on Tom's Hardware. It's a cool idea though.
