Re: Post Your PC
Look down on mine.
Since I had to finance from Fail-Dell I could only get a limited power supply and Graphix Card, so my plan is to upgrade my power supply and my graphics card in the next year.
My case is standard too, wish I had a cool one...

Re: Post Your PC
Also most people use websites to calculate their wattage to what you want to do, they are fairly accurate. most people think a $60 to $120 is a good psu to buy for 550x to 700w is fine. look up some reviews on PSU's. But remember quality over price, you would want a solid psu for a better stable system, which is why i love my PSU. Made from the legendary PC Power and Cooling ( well bought out by OCZ ) but they make solid PSU's. only going for $150 these days now @ 750watts. but REMEMBER buy a generic one first, see if it burns anything out, then switch to a better one then flash pretendica your chest for some hot brother loving

Re: Post Your PC
I think my PSU is only 350 watt's because I got a studio desktop from tell and customized it literally as much as I could.
So I was thinking a 550-ish watt PSU if I can afford to get a new Graphix Card in the next 6 months, I was going to go to the ATI 4800 Series.
I've never had to replace a power supply before, because I've always had a big enough one come stock for the cards I have. So is it very difficult to Change a power supply? Because there's no way i'd pay some random at best buy $50 dollars to do it.
So anyone have any suggestions? I'm pretty poor right now, and my graphics card isn't really bad... i have the 4670 series from ATI, and it's decent. I can run games like Bioshock is 1920x1080 Resolution in the highest detail with NO video problems. So that makes me wounder if I even SHOULD upgrade right now. The only reason to upgrade would be to go SLI, and I'm not really sure if my computer can handle that. Help?

Re: Post Your PC
meh wait awhile on the video card ati's new series should be out this month so prices should drop even more after that.
And for psu 550+ is more then enough then what you should need by the sounds of it. And for changing the psu its very simple all the connectors are specificly designed so you dont hook it in wrong.

Re: Post Your PC
Here's My new build, what do you guys think? Keep in mind, I spend all my good money on weed. I just got this stuff:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz
MB: GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5
RAM: Patriot Gamer Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Case: Antec P180
HS: XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB(old HD)
Keyboard: Ideazon Merc Stealth Illuminated Gaming Keyboard
Mouse: Logitech G5
PS: Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Continuous Power
The case is being reused. It took me awhile to pick the right memory, I bought the wrong kind originally(even though it was listed on Gigabytes AVL for memory). Patriot told me to get something else, so I got these. Hulk told me it's the Dragon build. He's a lot more knowledgeable with this stuff than I am. I'm supposed to be able to unlock the cores with this board. IDK if that's nescessary, or just stick to overclocking, or both? I'll post a picture when The Dragon is all put together.
