Xbox's Kinect/Natal

Post by Killer »

microsoft's new motion controlled device using nothing but your arms and legs controller free to control your character seems a little ambitious. what do you think about it and will they have more success than the wii, or will they crash and burn, for 150 usd it can be yours soon

I don't think the hardware world is truely ready for 4d gaming. Give it another decade, then monitors/player analogs will all be 4d. There'll be a breakthrough in core-technology first.

You can't use it sitting down, crippled people will not be able to use it, (From what I heard) Black people won't be able to use it.

Think of the trolling. Going into a kinetic multiplayer game, shouting over the mic XBOX SHUT DOWN!
Watch all the disconnects.

Besides, the E3 kinect demonstration was all rigged. It was pre-recorded footage and the people "played" the game to make it look like they were controling the xbox.

Yeah, when I was watching Microsoft's conference I really couldn't believe whether or not what I was watching was all acted out. When that one guy showcasing the movie controls with Kinect, I couldn't help but think "Is this all prerecorded or what?"

Fail, because as soon as a wasp comes in your character will promptly throw all of his grenades, smash his gun over a rock and start humping the nearest enemy.

results may vary
