What do you guys think of Ati vs nVidia?

What's your stances?

ATI is beating nVidia every which-way right now. Especially since nVidia's latest drivers actually kills cards inside your computer. Then there's the H5K series which kill everything.

Not sure if you guys knew this, but nVidea is actually going to abandon the upper chip market to ATI. Shame, the underdog was allowed to overtake them because of a lax business stance.

ive been ati fan for years, my second video card was an nvidia but then the rest have been ait.

theres no accual prove that nvidia is giving up the title, and besides ati said that too after they released the 2900 and it flunked.

You high? nVidia has the GTX470 ($500) and the GTX480 ($600) coming out March 26'th.

Meh. I also go with whatever has the best price and performance. I've had bad experiences with both companies. ATI seems to finally have figured out how to write a freakin driver.

yes, this is confirmed - I actually plan on waiting for nvidia's FERMI to be released for better comparison before my next upgrade of video card. Eyefinity would be nice though. ATI is the only thing keeping AMD alive right now...so we'll see.

AMD is doing fine, tbh. They have a powerful Quad-Core CPU on the market for $100, and their phenom II dual-core can become a Quad-core with the right motherboard, for only $100. The thing with intel is that grabbing an i7-920 merits you triple-channel RAM, and an X58 motherboard; both of which cost over $300, and over $200 for the CPU itself.

I have the sc2 beta AND the latest patch AND an overclocked videocard and nothings happened to me

Glad I haven't updated, I'm running the "safe" 196.21 drivers atm. Incidentally, according to Rivatuner my 9800 GT core runs at 66C (with no 3D apps open, at 34% speed, no O/C)...a bit warm for my taste, I'ma gonna have to up the fan speed I guess, too bad the thing sounds like an airplane is taking off in my comp...
