How do those do their computations though? Do they avg. in the completed bars or something? b/c none of the games are done yet. I'm just trying to figure out how they've done the computations.

Companion cube, what the heck is this?!?!? I'm not dependable I shall portal you into the septic goo or the furnace!

EDIT: and I also say Valve releases Portal 2 right on the time they have planned all along which may or may not be the advertised time. Remember the Solly/demo War anyone? That was certainly rigged. Yes, it is easier to track the usage for this to "confirm" but Valve can always claim server glitches or whatnot. Just saying....and even if it is released 10 hours early, I shall be on a serious of plane flights...or sleeping. Lol.

Quit bragging, shithead.

I got a text saying to go to gamestop at 10 pm tonight and then they'll hand me the game at midnight. I thought this was an error so I called the store. Sho nuff! She named of 3 games being released tonight at midnight, Portal 2, SoComm, and blah blah blah is the last one. That's what I heard anyways.

I'm /confused too. I anticipate the early release when the potatoes are all gone, and we see that gabe newell ate them all with tubs of butter.

Also, where the meter to launch is, next to "active test subjects" it no longer says "ZERO" in the background, it now says "NINE"

11:00 - Relaxation chamber locks released...
11:00 - Involuntary hazard mitigation associates have assumed testing positions...
11:00 - Pre-release lethality assessment initiated...
If the potatoes are indeed counting down to a release, then I'm guessing that since the 10's place of the potato count decreases 1 every second, and at about 400000 seconds, it would release 11 hours from now...just speculation on my part though xD

My thoughts on this early release:

It's kinda stupid. I think it's cool that valve thought up this whole ARG thing because it had to be a pretty complex endeavor. But really.... all this work for 1 day, actually not even 1 day, of early release. Maybe if they'd started this 2 weeks ago I could see the point in it. It's probably been said before but this really feels like a scam to get more people to buy the Potato Sack pack. Maybe I'll have to eat my words when this countdown gets done and we all get blowjobs or something but I very much doubt anything but an extra 8 hours of play time (for people who don't have to work 40 hours a week) will come from it.
