Suggestion

Might I suggest instead of accepting russian or australian teams we try to ignore them and challenge US or Canada based teams?

I'd have to agree. Yes, we are probably going to have to play some of those teams in the tourney, but those games are on the weekend when times aren't as big a problem. Plus for now we can play with usable pings. I've played on an Aussie server before, the ping was awful. They're even further away than the Russians. 1/2 way around the world (if you are East Coast).

The only time we can play these countries is on the weekend anyway, limiting the amounts of those games we can play. There are a ton of US/CAN teams in the ladder.

The problem is, when we receive a challenge, we can't tell who it's from. I just have to hope when I accept it, they are from North America. It just tells the time. Otherwise, we have to do all the challenging and not accept any challenges. When we challenge, we know who we challenge. I'm not sure, but maybe that even gives us a leg up on where we play...

Does it show you their name with a link to their team page? I think the team pages show where they are from.

The teams have a flag next to their name usually...

And come on, "Russian Gun Runners"? With a Russian Flag in their name and next to all their names?

Newman, aren't you a leader? We don't have any challenges pending right now. But when we get challenged, it just says the map and time... Of course no one can verify that until we get challenged again.

Yeah but I never got notices about challenges before this most recent one.

Well that's annoying. Perhaps we can find said team on the ladder before accepting to see where they are from? Makes scheduling much easier if the time differences involved are no more than a couple hours.

Some challenge just came in from a Russian team, and apparently we loose 10 ladder points if we decline the match...I think we'll just ignore it.

That's lame that you lose points for declining when it's hard to schedule a time for opposite sides of the world. Things are different in the tourney at least, aren't those set times (for like 2PM EST Sun afternoons?)?

Links please. I hope that's true. This scheduling thing is becoming a nightmare.

That is why I figure we just ignore it.

I'm asking Pre, I'm not sure. I just thought I saw something about 2PM EST, but that might have been a deadline...I'll check up on it.
