some of those bad reviews are so unjustified it makes me angry.
Punha R gave it a3:
Cliche history, short campaign, overpriced, 1/3 of a game for the price of a full game, graphics doesnt scale well (i have a radeon4870, playing int on max at 1920x1200 the game drops to 15 fps when there is 5 or more units doing shit on the screen), pathetic attempt to please the casual masses with a bullshit history line. i wish my money back.
to summarize: it continues the storyline, 60 dollars is too much for a video game, and my video card is too shit to run the game at max settings.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck though. ups still hasn't delivered :\ better be here tomorrow

I bought the game, had fun doing 4v4 with friends. The mp sadly is a lot less tactical and a lot more about hwo fast can you spam a tier 1 unit.

Playing the campaign now pretty fun.

I'm tempted to get this game, but I'd like to try out the free trial first. Anyone got an extra guest pass they'd like to let me borrow? :)

Anyone got an extra guest pass? I had the beta but I was too busy with other things to actually download it and play it much. Now I'm bored and wanna give it a try.

I can't believe how overpriced this thing is ending up to be. $60 for a PC download that doesnt even use their own servers? BS like that is uncalled for, but has come to be expected from publishers like Activision. Lets not forget that there are two more "expansion packs" on the way, and god knows how much each of them will cost. I'll wait for the first expansion pack to come out, the game ought to go on sale by then. Until then, I'll just use my trial.

Trial is only for 14 days/10 hours, whichever comes first.

Expansion 1 is probably months away, if not more. But I have to say, I've finished the campaign, done a decent amount of MP, and it really is amazing. I was skeptical about the $$$ too, but at least it was good enough that I'd say it might be worth it. My friend who is a big WOW person says that the expansions are likely going to be in the $20 range. Based on his WOW time I guess, I'd be OK with that if each expansion is as good as the Terran campaign was, but even $100 is pushing it for a game for me. Time will tell.

The lack of LAN capability is what really hurts this game though. That was what made the first so great and popular: not needing internet access to play with friends (of course, that lead to much using of friends' keys for LAN, but there's an easy solution to that: require internet access to verify your key upon install. Then don't require internet to play local LAN games.)
