More indications of how EA fails. As if we needed more.

Wait what really? Why would they not? They're honestly retarded. Taking out the middle man I guess, but that means so much less distribution. Sigh, at least we can still add it to games list manually :\

I've been following this for a few weeks now. This is actually not EA's doing. This is steam. Steam has an agreement that if you have your games on their service, You cannot have it anywhere else. And Since EA Owns Origins and has the game on Gamestop aswell, this violated the agreement. So Steam Pulled Crysis off and more EA Games. Now all upcoming EA games are not going to be on Steam. (Unless this is resolved)

I know this is not entirely Steams doing, EA also crapped on this one. But the main reason is because steam will not allow it.

Then technically Steam would be empty because every game on their service is available elsewhere, even their own games.

EA also said they wanted their new Alice game to be on Origin exclusively...it is on Steam.

uhh this has nothing to do with steam besides crytek,

ea want total control over there games

steam didnt pull ea games, ea pulled ea games

the only slight thing with steam was crytek having an agreement with another downloading company for dlc that conflicted with new steam rules

Yea, the Crysis thing dealt with DLC content that differed from that on Steam or something like that. With that said there are many games on Steam that just don't have DLC through Steam. They update when you launch the game. Works fine, still allows Steam interfacing...

I know that Crysis 2 was dropped since Crytek had an agreement with another download company. But I didn't know it was for DLC (Honestly never read anything about the DLC). If this is the case than I missed something somewhere. Sorry for the mixup.

I did read somewhere that EA was doing this to boycott Steam because of the whole Crysis Fiasco, and of course to promote their own new Download Service/Store.

Does anyone have the "Steam Rule" that Crytek broke, I would just like to read it.

I read somewhere the two were unrelated. I'll see if I can find the article.
