I feel bad for all the people who had hyped this up as a good, realistic zombie game. Some people might've even been waiting for this game since the first trailer which was since 2006, and all they get is a beta version of the game.

i feel bad for the people who think they know how the game is from watching 2 bad videos pointing out mistakes that have been fixed (besides the third person view).

considering on how fast they fixed the issues i dont see how you (one who hasnt played the game) can even consider it a beta.

I rented the game via Redbox and I didn't like it much. It's like the release of Fallout:New Vegas. The game may be fun, but you can't overlook some of the serious bugs it has. You can noclip with one button, the ocean floor is the map of the island, the PC release is a console dev port etc etc. I mean, they hyped this game since 2006 and this is the result?

hmm lets see, steam was the only ones to get the dev version of the game, it being fixed with in 12 hours. and you having rented yours for a console if you rented from red box would know nothing of it being on pc.

and do explain these serious issues

considering the majority of multi platform games are ports to pc. battlefield bad company 2 is a port to pc.

and there really wasnt very much hype at all until within the last year.

It's a good game, but I don't think it's worth anywhere near the release price of 50$. Good thing I still got a digital copy for half of the commercial asking price. While it's not absolutely dreadful, I can't help but feel that the developers didn't do the best job they could. For a game in development for a significant amount of time, the animations are pretty poor. And players can see them simply by looking at their shadows, or by playing with another player.

And again, despite them claiming that the PC version had separate people working on its design.. The game releases with a notable lack of video options (ones that can only be changed through text editing in the video files), key binds seem to have trouble being set, and the game features auto-aim that cannot be turned off. These seem like rudimentary options most games on PC, or PC versions have, so for a game to not include them after being claimed to support PC, it's a bit disappointing.

While it may not be a complete disaster, it definitely could have been done better. I hope that they do fix a few of these things. Especially auto-aim, I really do dislike it.
