I read an article earlier that the RRoD doesn't exist anymore instead the power icon inside the rings will go red should a problem arise. Red Power Button of Death?

Someones bricked already, they turn it on and nothing happens but the light on the power brick goes red.

Hah, I am so glad I got the PS3 instead. Blu-rays, no rrod, no remote for movie plackback bs, online is free.

I know I sound like a fanboy, but it really is the far better console.

You get what you pay for, and PS3 was ~500-700 USD during launch.

The new ones are cheaper, but i want the backwards compatibility back...

I have a pretty big house, luckily, so I have a dedicated computer room, and in the corner I have a tv hooked to my old ps2 and tons of games. It's my rainy day collection. If money is tight I just play my classic collection.

But If I had backwards compat.. yeah, that would be so much nicer. But that is my ONLY real gripe, I have to say.

I am probably just gonna buy a refurbrished backwards compat fatboy style.

y'know, the PS3 and the Wii have already had built in wifi, and why would you need 250 gb for your 360?

There being no RRoD doesn't mean the console won't fail. In fact there have been a few cases where it has. You just don't get the distinct RRoD as it were.

I've hardly used 25gigs of my 120gb hdd.
