You can try Enabling uPnP in the router settings to be able to see it under Network Devices.
And make sure to turn on Network Discovery in Windows as well.

Have you ever considered Power Line Networking? It's a Tool you hook up to Any Power Jack, Plug in a Network Cable into it. and it carries it over your in house's Power Lines.
