Or possibly not enough juice?

Can you list all components you have in this PC that draw power? Also make & model of PSU.

Re: Post your Desktop

My current desktop background. Really love it, somewhat interactive. If I mouseover the Gmail icon I can read my mail right from there.

Re: Post Your PC Specs & Pics

My problems didn't start occurring until after a month after I purchased this motherboard. Here's a list of problems I had: When your computer starts idling and goes into screensaver mode or sleep mode, the faulty USB controller does not allow your computer to wake. I had to do something in the BIOS...

Re: Free Software for students from AutoDesk(ENTIRE LIBRARY)

If you purchase the Windows and you do a clean install, make sure it is activated. If Windows keeps asking you to activate that means you did something wrong. At the end of 30 days, if it is still not activated Windows will refuse to boot.

Re: Free Software for students from AutoDesk(ENTIRE LIBRARY)

Microsoft also has a similar deal going on with Win7 for $30. Although it says it's an "Upgrade" version I'm currently using it without upgrading anything. SandvichSpy can confirm this as well: Windows 7 Professional: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/pd/productID.216644200?Icid=...

Re: ANYONE

Actually I don't even really pirate apps anymore. Maybe one or two. I get all the basics from my school, and most programs I use are free nowadays. Only thing I really pirate is those overpriced CAD programs. journeyed.com. If you are student/faculty, you can get those CAD programs way cheaper. Asi...

Re: Buying RAM

Lol I used it in high school and I was given a free copy from my teacher to use (mind you this was before we got Inventor, like 2 years before) Do yourself a favor and pirate yourself a copy of SolidWorks. They work off the same engine so the look & feel are almost identical however SolidWorks ...

Re: Buying RAM

I do probably need 12gb, since I do alot of stuff in Source SDK, AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Edge, etc. Especially for inventor when I try to make something out of a lot of pieces and the program crashes from not having enough memory :\ As for Molimo's suggestions, those 100$ set of ripjaws look nice....

Re: ANYONE

Steam has enabled me to be so lazy that I simply wait a half year to a year for the game to go on sale and I pick it up for $20 or less. Steam has cured me of my game pirating curse. Music & apps on the otherhand are a different story. same here. as for movies, i wait until at least a dvdscreen...

I used to play Team Fortress Classic from 2000 through 2004 h them and switch after a round or two. I have a wide array of games I enjoy from shooters (Halflife, Portal) to strategy games (Starcraft, Civilization 5, Master of Orion - the original only!) to RPGs (Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age). Re: Buying RAM

Although lower latency does result in faster RAM I don't think the amount you pay for it is worth it for the speed increase or latency decrease. You will only get about a boost of 1-3% by having better latency or higher speed on the RAM. I also think 6GB is enough for most moderate computer users un...
