Lacks useful protocols. I've seen the Synology devices and they are impressive for home/small office use.

Try loading crystaldiskinfo and see if the drive has any issues. Make sure it is running in SATA 300

Still waiting for something that crushes GTX 280 in SLI so I can justify spending $500.. Do you haev a GTX280 in sli? If so that seems like a massive waste of money. I'm not sure what kind of games and resolution you need to be playing to justify that but im pretty sure i can get a decent computer ...

I'm guessing pretty soon we will see diminishing real world performance gain as the speeds keep going up. The SSDs I have are damn fast though.

If you are using that, now it supports the latest drivers. My issues are almost completely gone. I also turned on the triple buffer option for the hl2.exe in the nVidia control panel.

What do you mean by choppy? Is the screen tearing? Video stopping for a second?
